Story behind
“Promtechservice” LLC is the official Skoda dealer that since 2003 was shipping and selling cars in Ukraine. As far as Skoda company was always an innovator in automotive technologies and always stick to the overall tech progress so they created the website to reach more clients and provide more information about themselves and current updates in the market.
Design
At the core of the design lies the beauty, functionality, and practicality of the Skoda cars. Each model has something unique, something attractive and despite the magnificence, everything is highly functional and practical to meet the expectations of the most capricious driver. Our designer has created and clear and minimalistic design in order not to overload the user’s sight and focus him on the cars and their aesthetics and the most attractive features. At the same time, he took great efforts to make navigation and work with a website smooth and comprehensive at the maximum level so no one could get lost there.
Development
The overall task wasn’t the creation of a website. We had to create some more things like the personal client’s personal account and a very special thing – a configurator for a comfortable and easier selection of cars. Sure thing we used different technologies to achieve all the appointed goals. To create a website we used HTML/CSS and Bootstrap to provide an adaptive and smooth layout, JavaScript and jQuery to make everything alive and dynamic and Webpack to collect all the files in one place. In order to create a personal account we have used several additional technologies such as Node.js for the server side, Socket.io library, and MySQL to store the clients in the database.
The development of the configurator was the hardest task to complete. Fortunately, our team has dealt with similar projects and all developers knew what to do. All in all, the configurator had to be fast, and good-looking, and its aim was to help any client to select the car according to their parameters. To realize such functionality, we used ReactJS for robust front-end development and Node.js for the back end. That allowed us to create a robust and powerful configurator rather fast and due to the customer’s needs. After the tests, we have seen that the task was completed successfully and the users will be satisfied with such functionality.
Result
As a result, our client received a great and fresh-looking website that totally reflects his vision and the functionality like a personal account and configurator that helped to reach more clients by the comfortable selection of cars, accessories, online services, regular updates, and special offers. We created something that the customer appreciated and that helped to get more buyers and expand the business.
